Sergiy Podbolotnyn tangotunnit Ruukin Tangotehtaalla ma 12.10.

Monet teistä saattavat jo tuntea tämän Shanghaissa asuvan ukrainalaisen opettajan ja tangon maailmanmestaruuskisojen semifinalistin hänen monilta Suomen vierailuiltaan (mm. Tango Frostbite-festivaalin tunneilta). Lokakuussa Sergiy Podbolotnyy palaa jälleen Helsinkiin pitämään yksityistunteja, ja maanantaina 12.10. on lisäksi ainutlaatuinen tilaisuus osallistua hänen ryhmätunneilleen Kellokosken Ruukissa. Sergiyn karisma, innostus, tarkkuus ja paneutuminen yksityiskohtiin on jo valloittanut monet suomalaiset oppilaat. Hänen opetuksessaan palataan aina perusasioihin – kävelyyn, abrazoon ja parin väliseen kommunikaatioon – joten tunnit ovat hyödyllisiä kaikille aiemmasta tangokokemuksesta riippumatta. Opetus on englanniksi ja tulkataan tarvittaessa suomeksi.

Workshop 1. The Embrace: Comfort, Connection & Freedom

How can we create a comfortable and connected embrace without limiting each other’s movement?

In this class, we will explore how posture, tone, contact, and intention help us build a clear yet flexible connection. We will work on finding an embrace that feels comfortable for both partners and allows us to move together naturally, without unnecessary tension.

The goal is not to find one “correct” embrace, but to understand how to adapt it to your partner, the movement, and the music.

Workshop 2. Walking Together: Moving as One

Walking is the foundation of tango — but walking together is much more than simply taking steps.

In this class, we will focus on projection, weight transfer, balance, and synchronization between partners. We will explore how to communicate direction and intention clearly, how to receive that information without anticipation, and how to create the feeling of two people moving as one.

Simple movements, deeper connection, and better quality of movement.

Many of you might know this Shanghai-based Ukrainian tango teacher and tango world championship semifinalist from his many visits to Finland (including the Tango Frostbite festival). This October Sergiy Podbolotnyy will be back in Helsinki for private lessons, but there will also be a unique opportunity to attend his workshops on Monday 12th at Ruukki in Kellokoski. Sergiy is already well-loved by many Finnish students for his charisma, enthusiasm, precision and attention to detail. With him you will always work on the basics - the walk, the embrace and communication between partners - so the lessons will be useful for everyone regardless of previous tango experience.
