DanceMode Blues Statement
Blues dance is a Black American cultural tradition rooted in the music, communities, and lived experiences of Black Americans.
At DanceMode, we honor these roots through live music, cultural context, improvisation, individual expression, and social connection. We believe that learning from musicians, culture bearers, elders, and community members deepens our understanding of both the dance and the music.
