Une alliance inédite : L’Écho des Balafons et le Black History Month unissent leurs forces !
Les ASBL PAP (Production d’Artistes Pluriels) WIC (West Indies Continent), Créolux et l’ASBL One People sont fières d’annoncer leur première collaboration 🤝
Deux événements majeurs de la scène culturelle luxembourgeoise s’associent pour créer une expérience unique, mêlant célébration artistique et réflexion historique autour des cultures africaines et caribéennes.
🎵 D’un côté, le festival L’ÉCHO DES BALAFONS porté par PAP– une célébration vibrante des musiques et danses d’Afrique et des Caraïbes.
Au programme :
10h-12h : stage de dundanse avec BAMBA CAMARA (Guiné Conakry)
12h-14h : stages de danses traditionnelles avec AMINATA TOURE (Guinée Conakry),
14h-16h : stage de danse gwoka avec QUEENY (Caraïbes)
16h-17h : stage de Dancehall avec MAMZ (Mix, hip/hop, dancehall)
16h-17h : stage de djembé avec SOULEYMAN (Guinée Conakry)
14h-19h :
--Création de costumes carïbéens
--Atelier artistique dessin à thème
--Body painting pour enfants
--Création de ballon pour enfants
--Atelier de coiffure pour tous
EXPOSITION :
BAYE GALLO sera présent pour une exposition de ses œuvres. A voir absolument.

21h30-22h30 : Grupo PILON (Cap-Vert)
22h30-0h00 : LORD KOSSITY and IRIE STAR (Reggae/Dancehall)
Village africain avec dégustations et découvertes culinaires. Une immersion dans les rythmes qui font vibrer la diaspora.
📚 17h-20h : De l’autre, l’ouverture du BLACK HISTORY MONTH – un temps fort citoyen porté par One People qui propose conférences, projections-débats et interludes musicales pour (re)découvrir l’histoire et les contributions des communautés afro-descendantes.
Un espace de dialogue et de mémoire ouvert à tous, sans barrière.
Ce que cette union va changer :
Pour la première fois, la fête et la réflexion marchent main dans la main 🤲
L’énergie du festival et la profondeur du Black History Month se répondront pour offrir au public une programmation hybride où Les interludes musicales rythmeront les conférences et les débats.
Les ateliers participatifs deviendront des espaces de transmission intergénérationnelle.
La scène de l’Écho des Balafons accueilleront les artistes et intervenants du Black History Month et complèteront leur programmation par des concerts le soir.

Parce que la culture est un langage universel
de cohésion sociale. Parce que célébrer la richesse des héritages africains et caribéens ne peut se faire sans dialogue sur les enjeux de mémoire, d’égalité et de lutte contre les discriminations.
One People, engagée dans un antiracisme citoyen et l’égalité des chances, rejoint la dynamique festive de PAP pour créer un événement où toutes et tous ont leur place.

An unprecedented alliance: L’Écho des Balafons and Black History Month join forces!
The association PAP (Production d’Artistes Pluriels) WIC (West Indies Continent), Créolux, and the NGO One People are proud to announce their first collaboration 🤝
Two major events in the Luxembourg cultural scene are coming together to create a unique experience, mixing artistic celebration and historical reflection around African and Caribbean cultures.
🎵 On one side, the L’ÉCHO DES BALAFONS festival led by PAP – a vibrant celebration of African and Caribbean music and dance.
On the program:
10am-12pm: Dundanse workshop with BAMBA CAMARA
12pm-2pm: Traditional dance workshops with AMINATA TOURE
2pm-4pm: Gwoka dance workshop
4pm-5pm: Dancehall workshop with MAMZ
4pm-5pm: Djembe workshop with SOULEYMAN

African village with tastings and culinary discoveries. An immersion in the rhythms that make the diaspora come alive.
📚 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM: On the other side, the opening of BLACK HISTORY MONTH – a key civic moment led by One People offering lectures, film-debates, and musical interludes to (re)discover the history and contributions of Afro-descendant communities. An open space for dialogue and memory, accessible to everyone.

The festival’s energy and the depth of Black History Month will respond to each other to offer the audience a hybrid program where musical interludes will punctuate the lectures and debates.
Participatory workshops will become spaces for intergenerational transmission.
The stage of L’Écho des Balafons will host the artists and contributors of Black History Month will complete their program with evening concerts. Why this partnership? Because culture is a universal language of social cohesion. Because celebrating the richness of African and Caribbean heritage cannot happen without dialogue on issues of memory, equality, and the fight against discrimination.
