Introducing Salsa Caleña at Typical Tropical.

Originating from 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢, 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚, Salsa Caleña is known for its fast footwork, rhythmic precision, quick weight changes and playful movements. It has its own distinct character and is deeply connected to the music and dance culture of Cali.

In this course, Clayton & Lisa will introduce you to the foundations of Salsa Caleña and guide you through the technique and movements that make this style so unique.

You’ll work on fundamental footwork, timing, rhythm, body movement and partnerwork, while gradually becoming more comfortable with the speed and characteristic movements of Salsa Caleña.

Our Salsa Caleña Beginners 1 course is open to everyone. No experience is required.

Whether you’re completely new to dancing or already have experience with other styles of Salsa and want to discover something new, we’ll start from the basics and build from there.

The focus is on developing your technique, understanding the rhythm and getting comfortable with the characteristic footwork and movement of Salsa Caleña.

And of course, on enjoying the music and having fun dancing together.
