Contact Improvisation and Contemporary Dance Improvisation by Ci-Cph

Warmly welcome to THURSDAY CLASS +LAB, every Thursday @ Forsøgsstationen - an in-depth series of classes with international teachers.

Current series w Pipaluk, exploring the physicality of dance and contact improvisation in the context of instant composition and performance tools.

2 hour class + 1 hour optional lab, where participants can integrate the material into their own practice.

Open to all bodies, movers, dancers and performers wishing to expand their practice. Be ready to move 🌿

PRACTICAL
Location Forsøgsstationen, Sønder Boulevard 81, Vesterbro
Participation 100kr/class or 3 prepaid classes 240kr (valid any Thursday)
Mobile pay 24339 or cash, kindly pay before entering studio
- free for members of Forsøgsstationen

Be ready at 5pm on the floor
- wear comfortable and clean clothes, long pants, long sleeves
- knee pads recommended.
- bring notebook+pen

*the PRACTICE
We are artists, dancers, movers, explorers… shifting towards the simple, yet challenging, act of being present together.
We look into different improvisation tools and creative ideas, to support and expand our practice.
Engaging in body awareness, in playful dances with gravity and each other, is a beautiful way to process reality.

Live sound and music can happen.

*the TEACHER
Pipaluk (she/her) is a choreographer and independent producer, teacher and community organizer. She works with contact improvisation, contemporary dance improvisation and dance in nature.
Pipaluk creates site specific performance projects and artistic meeting-spaces, encouraging dancers and artists to explore on their own terms.
She researches, teach and perform, around the world, and is also a musician. In her life she studied and danced with many influential, inspiring and beautiful souls. Teaching and organizing is her way of giving back, and to carry on the lineage of important ideas.

GUIDELINES for shared spaces :
- use our changing rooms for changing + shoes, coats etc
- kindly, don't use your phone inside the dance studio
Health
- be considerate, stay at home if not feeling well
- kindly, wash hands, be clean, before entering studio
- kindly, avoid perfume
