We are very proud to announce a weekend full of learning from the one and only Milena Morais and Mardio Costa!
We’ll spend Saturday and Sunday learning with Milena & Mardio, and then celebrate together on Sunday evening with our friends at Stockholm Forró Project (@sthlm.forro.project), who will be hosting the closing Forró party of the weekend.

▫️About the teacher:
Milena, originally from Belo Horizonte and now based in Bahia, has dedicated over 15 years to forró as a dancer, teacher, performer, and judge. Having taught in Brazil and 15 countries worldwide, she believes forró is a powerful tool for expression, connection, freedom, and personal growth.
Mardio, from Salvador, Bahia, is the founder of Escola Chineleiros and has been teaching forró since his teens. With 15 years of experience, he has shared the joy of forró across Brazil and 10 countries, earning recognition for his contribution to dance and culture.
Together, Milena and Mardio lead Escola Chineleiros in Lauro de Freitas, Bahia, combining their unique styles and passion for authentic Brazilian forró. They are champions of several prestigious competitions, including the 2023 Forró Dance Competition in Itaúnas, and continue to inspire dancers around the world with their warmth, musicality, and deep connection to the dance.
