Description
We're honored to have Adrian & Amanda Costa for the first time in Amersfoort on Tuesday October 27.
They are the perfect example of precision, elegance and what it means to walk ”al compas” in tango. A musicality deeply connected with the essensial movement of tango, the elegance and comfort of taking the time to synchronize the couple in a tango embrace. No effects, no cliches, just tango. Besides that, they are amazing teachers.

❤️ About Adrian & Amanda Costa
• Their style is inspired by the *milongueros* (traditional tango dancers) of the 1940s and the styles of instructors such as Jorge & Marita Dispari.
• They have been dancing for over 20 years based on a social philosophy. This means they emphasize dancing together, social and musical, sharing space on the dance floor, and having fun—without big egos.
Originally, the word "tango" stood on its own.
Today, we add the word "social" to redefine an aspect of tango that has been lost, misunderstood, or poorly conveyed.
For over 20 years, they have sought to share this all-too-often neglected aspect of tango.
What is "social tango"?
Dancing tango means going beyond styles, tastes, and prejudices.
Dancing socially means setting aside our egos for the duration of a *tanda* and keeping the dance floor flowing so the experience can be shared more fully.
It means viewing tango as a "group dance" rather than just a "couple's dance"—an opening up to others rather than an inward-looking activity.
It is about sharing a common space and allowing everyone to experience the joy of dancing.
